NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has hailed the noble works carried out by the Oil Marketing Companies like Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., HPCL and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited during the COVID-19 crisis.“To serve humanity is the best way to worship god. Appreciate the humane gesture of our oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., HPCL & Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for coming to the rescue of those in need and providing free food, water and assistance at our petrol pumps,” Pradhan twitted.
“Serving around 55,000 meals per day, our OMCs have provided more than 18 lakh food packets through our retail outlets spread across different states. I appreciate our OMCs for stepping-up efforts to help the migrants, poor and the marginalised in their hour of crisis,” he added.
“Access to toilets and free drinking water has also ensured our retail outlets double up as resting spaces. Urge colleagues to continue their good work in helping the returning migrants and those in need. Together we will succeed in defeating this enemy of humanity,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister Pradhan also held a vedio conference with SAIL team. “Held a VC with Steel Authority of India Limited team, discussed detailed roadmap of SAIL’s strategy towards contributing to #AatmaNirbharBharatAbhiyan touching every aspect from production to raw material, modernization, capacity expansion etc.Directed to ensure steel of quality at competitive price to downstream industries, especially MSMEs, so that the industrial sector revives and is competitive,” Pradhan added.
