Dharmendra Pradhan Orders PNG Secretary Tarun Kapoor to probe into Bhubaneswar Petrol Pump Mishap

BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: While expressing his deepest concerns, Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday evening asked his Ministry Secretray Tarun Kapor to probe into the petrol pump mishap in Bhubaneswar, the State Capital of Odisha, in which several left badly injured.

“ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ରାଜଭବନ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ପେଟ୍ରୋଲ ପମ୍ପରେ ଅଗ୍ନିକାଣ୍ଡ ଖବର ଜାଣିବା ପରେ ଘଟଣାର ତଦନ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ପେଟ୍ରୋଲିୟମ ଓ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ଗ୍ୟାସ  ବିଭାଗର ସଚିବଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଲି । ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଓ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆନ୍ ଅଏଲର ଅଧିକାରୀ ମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଲୋଚନା କରି ତୁରନ୍ତ ଘଟଣାର ତଦନ୍ତ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ଦେବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଛି। ଆହତ ମାନଙ୍କର ଆଶୁ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ମହାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦରୁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ଫେରିବେ ବୋଲି ଆଶା କରୁଛି ।,” tweeted Dharmendra Pradhan@dpradhanbjp.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced free medical treatment of people injured in the fire accident at Petrol Pump near Raj Bhawan, Bhubaneswar and wished their speedy recovery. The fire has been extinguished and situation is under control now.

“Following explosion at CNG station in Bhubaneswar, glad that the fire is under control & there are no fatalities. My house is in the vicinity; staff told me there is damage including broken glass & doors which were forced open by the initial blast! .Horrifying visuals from Bhubaneswar… Pray for the well being & quick recovery of all those who have been injured. Emergency services have responded with alacrity which is heartening,” IMFA Group MD Subharakanta Panda tweeted@ @subhrakantpanda.

At least 9 persons have been injured due to a major explosion at a CNG station near Raj Bhawan. Though there has been no report of any casualty till evening, the impact of the explosion was felt by the people in the five kilometer radius of the Raj Bhavan. Of the 9 injured persons, 2 have been rushed to SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack as their condition remained critical.The blast took place at about 1 PM when around two dozen people were filling fuel in their vehicles.
