BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on Thursday appreciated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s concern for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“This is how a democracy like in India should function. We all can have differing ideologies,beliefs & opinions but that can be no ground to legitimise a breach in security for the Prime Minister. Appreciate @Naveen_Odisha ji for his concern for PM Modi’s security,” Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted @dpradhanbjp reacting to Odisha CM’s tweet.
“The Prime Minister of India is an institution. It is the duty of every Government to provide foolproof security and safeguard the dignity of this institution. Anything contrary should be unacceptable in our democracy,” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted @Naveen_Odisha.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stuck on a Punjab highway for 20 minutes because of protesters in a massive security breach on Wednesday.
PM Modi met with the President on the incident, which has snowballed into a huge political row ahead of polls in Punjab and other states.
