Dharmendra Joins Hand with Naveen to Urge 4.5 Crore Odias to recite ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ on May 30

RAJKANIKA/KENDRAPARA (ODISHA): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan joined hands together and appealed 4.5 crore Odias to recite the master piece of late Kantakabi Laxmikanta Mohapatra, ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ on May 30 as a mark of respect to COVID-19 Warriors.

“I wholeheartedly extending my support to the call of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and I am urging all my BJP Karyakartas to recite ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ on May 30,” Union Pradhan said in a statement, which was released by his Bhubaneswar office, 120 km away from here. ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ song has an emotional attachment with 4.5 crore Odias, Pradhan added.

Earlier in the day, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had urged all Political parties to recite ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ on May 30 to boost the morale of COVID-19 warriors. Patnaik said every Odia must sing it to inspire the COVID-19 warriors.

CM Patnaik spoken to leaders of various political parties on Thursday evening over the singing of ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ on May 30 at 5.30 pm to encourage them.

Naveen spoke to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Pradesh Congress Committee President Niranjan Patnaik, State BJP President Sameer Mohanty, Samajbadi Party President Ravi Behera and AK Patnaik of Communist Party of India (Marxist) and sought their cooperation on the matter.
