NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG Minister of State(IND) was on Sunday elevated to Cabinet rank and also given additional charge of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Pradhan is representing Bihar in Rajya Sabha and hails from Pallahara area of Odisha’s Angul district.
Pradhan’s father, Dr Devendra Pradhan was a Cabinet Minister in Atal Vihari Vajpayee led NDA-1 Government.
With Pradhan’s elevation, Odisha has now 2 Cabinet Minister including Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram.
Nirmala Sitharaman was appointed the Defence minister and Piyush Goyal the Railway Minister Sunday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi revamped his team, bringing in nine new faces and changing some major portfolios to bring dynamism and efficiency in governance.
