Dharmendra assures all help for Odia people in Gujarat, talks to CM Vijay Rupani

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:  With Odisha Government making all out efforts to help out Odia people stranded in diffenernt States, Union PNG-Steel , Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said he spoke to Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani over the phone on the plight of Odia labourers in Gujarat.

Pradhan tweeted that he urged Rupani to make adequate arrangements for the provision of food and shelter for the Odia laboureres amid coronavirus lockdown.

The union petroleum minister said that during the telephonic conversation, the Gujarat chief minister assured him to make other arrangements for them.

Dharmendra Pradhan said he requested the Chief Minister to ensure the guidelines on social distancing and lockdown of the Odia people in the state.

The union minister also said that the Odisha government has been in touch with the Gujarat administration over the issue of Odias held up in the state due to lockdown.
