DGP Visits Nuapada-Boudh-Kandhamal to take stock of Anti-Maoists’ Operations

NUAPADA/CUTTACK/PHULABANI: Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay was on a one-day visit to Nuapada district on Sunday. He went to the Maoist-affected areas of the district and conducted an aerial survey on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border.

“No Maoist (violent) incident has taken place in the past few years. The CRPF, Odisha Police, SOG and IRBN have done a tremendous job,” said Abhay. He thanked the CRPF and the Government of India in particular for this.

He attended a law and order review meeting and then visited the CRPF camp at Sunabeda. Nuapada SP Pratyus Dibakar was also present.

DGP Odisha also visited Boudh and reviewed the crime in the Boudh and Kandhamal with emphasis on Cannabis. Director Intelligence Lalit Das,  DIG SIW Anirudha Singh, DIG SR Satyabrata Bhoi and SPs were present. DGP also interacted with the police personnel doing good work and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
