DGP Visits Balangir-Kalahandi-Nuapada to Review COVID-19 Enforcement

BALANGIR/KALAHANDI/NUAPADA:  DGP Abhay is on one day visit to  Balangir, Kalahandi, Nuapad today (21.04.2021) to review  Covid enforcement measures. At Balangir, DGP reviewed the on-going enforcement drive and implementation of  night curfew, weekend shutdown, functioning of border check posts and preparedness to ramp up Police assistance further to tackle Covid-19. IGP (Personnel) S Praveen Kumar, DIG SIW Anirudha Singh, DIG NR Dr Sarthak Sarangi accompanied DGP during his visit.

During his tour to Balangir district, DGP visited Town and Sadar PS and interacted with Policemen deployed there and verified about their well being and operational matters.  He felicitated the officers in recognition of their good work in maintaining Law and Order and for good investigation.. Balangir police has acted against 2352 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of 7,49,250 RS in special drive. Total 959 no of police personnel have been vaccinated in Balangir district.

DGP also visited  Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district. He reviewed covid enforcement measures, night curfew. DGP also reviewed about actions against mask usage and social distancing rules. Kalahandi police has acted against 858 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fines of Rs 4,25,600  in special drive. Total 853 no of police personnel in the District have been vaccinated.

DGP also  reviewed the border sealing arrangement at Sindhi Kaliari chaka on Chattisgarh border. Two platoons force have been deployed for Covid enforcement duty in the district. Border Check Point at Sindhi Kaliari Chaka has been established to check interstate movement between Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

 DGP  will later visit Nuapada district and review covid enforcement measures in the District. Nuapada police has acted against 1357 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of Rs 3,10,800  in special drive. 486 no of police personnel have been  vaccinated in the district. Two platoons force have been deployed for Covid enforcement duty. Two Border Check Points at Jonk Bridge and Kusumjore have been established to check interstate movement between Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
