DGP Reviews Security Preparedness for Panchayat Polls

CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: DGP, Sunil Kumar Bansal on Tuesday reviewed the 3-Tier Panchayati Raj General Elections, 2022 preparedness with all District Supdts. of Police including DCP Cuttack / DCP Bhubaneswar  and all range DIsG / IsG of Police today afternoon.

ADGP, CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack, Addl. DGP (L&O), IG of Police,  CID-CB, Odisha, Cuttack, IGP (Hdqrs), IGP (Prov.), IGP (Pers.), IGP (CR) and DIGP (STF) also attended. Director Intelligence, Odisha, Bhubaneswar / IGP (Ops.) / DIGP SIW / DIGP (Int.) also attended (T) VC. DGP emphasized on the free, fair transparent, impartial and incident free elections.

He stressed on strict enforcement of model code of conduct and adherence to the SEC guidelines and COVID Protocols during election process. He further emphasized on intensifying prophylactic measures including bounding down of persons U/s 110 / 107 Cr.P.C., seizure of illegal arms, seizure of illicit liquor and execution of NBWs.

 Other issues discussed included:

Disposal of seized drugs.

Disposal of Malkhana items.

Narcotics drugs enforcement.

CCTV installation at Police Stations.

Public Grievance Redressal.
