ANGUL/CUTTACK: Abhay, DGP visited Angul district on Friday to review Covid enforcement measures. At Angul, DGP reviewed the on-going enforcement drive and implementation of lockdown, weekend shutdown, and preparedness to ramp up Police assistance further to tackle Covid-19.
Since April 1, 2021 Angul police has acted against 6708 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of Rs 19,77,000/-.
4 platoons force have been deployed for Covid enforcement duty in Angul. Additional officers in SI/ASI rank have been deputed to strengthen police enforcement.
DGP appreciated the strenuous duties performed by police personnel in fighting Covid 19, and urged all to ensure strict enforcement with empathy to address the pandemic situation in the State.
During his tour to Angul district, DGP also visited Angul Police Training Centre and interacted with trainee Sub-Inspectors, faculty members and Angul district Police Personnel and verified about their well being.
