BHUBANESWAR: DGP Abhay means business. So all his trusted lieutenants engaged in COVID-19 enforcement, working overtime to ensure Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s zero tolerance policy on violators.
Backed by DGP Abhay’s pro-active role, Range IGsP as well as able Police Commissioner S Priyadarshi and his 2 deputy read, DCP Bhubaneswar Umashankar Dash and his Cuttack counterpart, Prateek Singh, giving sleepless nights to violators with State Police acted against as many as 9400 in just 24 hours.
On first day of the special COVID enforcement drive, Odisha Police acted against 9400 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of Rs 25,07,900/- is last 24 hours.
136 platoon police force have been engaged in the entire State to intensify COVID enforcement measures. District SsP/ DCsP and other Senior Officers leading the drive. We urge all to observe Covid appropriate behaviour.A special 10 days drive for enforcement of COVID safety regulations is being launched from 7th April to 16th April.The enforcement measures will be further initiated in coming days.
