CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: The 1988 batch IPS Officer and DG Fire Service & Commandant General of Home Guards, Santosh Upadhyay is retiring from service. 3 IPS officers including Upadhya , Pradeep Kapur of 1986 batch, now in Central posting, Sunil Bansal were in race for DGP while Bansal made it.
In his place SCRB Director and ADG Vinaytosh Mishra given additional charge of DG DG Fire Service & Commandant General of Home Guards.
1988-batch Special DG Communication Arun Kumar Ray and 1989-batch Special DG HRPC SM Narvane made OSD in Home Department.
Meanwhile, following DIG, SIW Anirudha Kumar Singh’s Central posting at Cabinet Secretariat, DIG, Intelligence, Anup Kumar Sahoo , has been given additional charge of SIW, which oversee anti-Maoists operations.
On this backdrop, a major reshuffle among IPS officers likely in Odisha, sources said.
