BHUBANESWAR:‘Developed India Buildathon’ is a nationwide celebration of innovation, creativity and youth energy. The innovative ideas generated from this Buildathon will create new global models and pave the way for addressing pressing challenges at the national and international levels, said Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
Inaugurating the Buildathon 2025, taking forward the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a ‘Developed India’, Shri Pradhan said that more than 3 lakh schools and 2.5 lakh students from across the country have participated in this event. This is the largest school hackathon in India. Shri Pradhan congratulated all the schools and students for participating in this mega school innovation initiative. He expressed his strong belief that the innovative ideas generated from this will create new global models and pave the way for solving urgent challenges at the national and international levels. A developed and prosperous India will be built with the collaboration of our talented school students. Our students will write history for India and the world with their thoughts, imagination and innovation.
On this occasion, Shri Pradhan visited Delhi Public School, Mathura Road and interacted with the students. He appreciated the enthusiasm and attitude of the students towards teaching. Similarly, he interacted with the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Delhi Cantonment and appreciated the innovative ideas among them. Congratulating these young innovators, the Education Minister said that the curiosity, creativity and innovation of the students will take India forward. Through the Developed India Buildathon 2025, the Ministry of Education aims to inspire the youth of the country to become an active partner in national development.
It is worth noting that the ‘Developed India Buildathon – 2025’, launched by the Union Ministry of Education, is being organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and AICTE. Its main objective is to enhance the capacity of students to develop new ideas and products. In this, students will work on four themes namely ‘Vocal for Local’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Swadeshi’, and ‘Samrudhi’. The program will promote new ideas in the country and prepare the youth to play a leading role in building a better, developed, and self-reliant India. Interested students registered on the Developed India Buildathon portal ( https://vbb.mic.gov.in/ ) from September 23 to October 6. The final phase will be held in January 2026, where the results will be announced and the top 1,000 winners will be honored.
