BHUBANESWAR: With Poll dates are closely nearing and massive Modi wave gripping entire Nation, the Naveen Patnaik led BJD seems, frequently changing its political strategy if one has to look into the Regional Party’s state of affairs since past few months.
Gone are the days, when VK Pandian, the all-powerful 5T-Nabin Odisha , was seen speaking people directly and monitoring development projects, now, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, himself started speaking to people directly and asking about the progress of various development works over phone.
A video shared by VK Pandian in Instagram and other BJD leaders in X (formerly Twitter), speaks a lot of volume about it. In the video, CM Patnaik seen speaking to people and inquiring about various development projects carried out in their localities.
CM Patnaik speaks to people over telephone to take feedback on the progress of ongoing works in schools, temples and other works in their areas.
In earlier days, Pandian was doing all these works but since elections are closely marching, Patnaik himself ventured into the battle field through telephonic conversation and phone calls.
BJD leaders have already skipped VK Pandian’s photo in their election posters and banners and reposted Biju Patnaik’s photo, which was missing in BJD posters and banners since last few years.
BJD’s Social media chief Swayam Prakash sharing the video , wrote “HCM Naveen Patnaik exemplifies true statesmanship with his humility, unwavering commitment, and profound love for Odisha. His tireless dedication to serving the people reflects in his round-the-clock efforts towards building a NaveenOdisha,”.
The same person, few weeks, back engaged in promotion of VK Pandian and now shifting his side.
On Thursday , BJP had raised several questions relating VK Pandian’s role in CMO.How is it that VK Pandian is being given to work as an officer in the Chief Minister’s office till date? Is the government not able to know whether Mr. Pandian is a leader or an officer? If Mr. Pandian is at number 1 in the list of officers, can he remain in the political program of the ruling party while the code of conduct is enforced? A few days ago, the Election Commission has taken action against 5 IPS officers and 2 IAS. Now following the rules VK Pandian should be immediately expelled from the post of 5 chairman and take action against him according to the law,” BJP State spokesperson, Anil Biswal had said.
On May 13 polls will be conducted in Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Berhampur, Koraput Lok Sabha seats and Assembly seats under it, On May 20, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska, on May 25 ,it will be in Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar and on June 1, it will be in Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj and Balasore. Counting will be on June 4.
