BHUBANESWAR: Low pressure area over south Andaman Sea at 0830hrs IST of 5th Dec. To concentrate into a Depression over Southeast BoB by 06th Dec then gradually intensify further into CS and reach near north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry by 08th December, IMD said on Monday.
‘Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over the south Andaman Sea & adjoining equatorial Indian oceanStrait of Malacca, a Low-Pressure Area has formed over the south Andaman Sea & neighborhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to mid-tropospheric levels,’ IMD Bhubaneswar said.
“It is likely to move WNW & concentrate into a Depression over the SE Bay of Bengal by the 6th December evening. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move WNW, intensify further gradually into a Cyclonic Storm and reach SW Bay of Bengal near north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry & adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts by 08th December morning,’ it added.
