PURI/BHUBANESWAR: Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra, flanked by 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration, Chief Administrator, Dr Krishan Kumar, on Monday reviewed arrangements put in place for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Puri to attend the Silanyaas Ceremony of Shree Mandir Prarikrama Project.
Chief Secretary Mohapatra, 5T Secretary Pandian and SJTA Chief Administrator, Dr Kumar held discussion with Puri Collector Samartha Verma and SP K Vishal Singh over CM’s visit to Puri.
Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Dr Krishan Kumar said. since Sunday, formal rituals had begun with ‘Guateka Niti’ of Gajapati Maharaj Dibya Singh Dev . On Monday afternoon, Yagnya began , Dr Kumar added.A model of the project will be displayed during these 3-days long event, Dr Kumar said adding land donors for the project will be felicitated by the SJTA.
Gajapati King had handed over betel nuts to perform three day Yajna on Sunday, following which Yagnya began on Monday. The Chief Minister Paatnaik is scheduled to perform Purna Ahuti of the Yajna and perform Bhumi Pujan ceremony on November 24. Swami Nischalananda Saraswati the Sankaracharya of Gobardhan Peeth will also remain present on the occasion.
Parikrama ,a 7- lane wide pathway around the Meghanad prachir for devotees to circumambulate the temple, will facilitate devotees to perform circumambulation of the shrine in the heritage corridor.
