BHUBANESWAR:The BJP government has been in power at the Centre for the past 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in the state for the past one and a half years under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

But so far, no corruption has been found in this government. Wherever corruption has taken place, strict action has been taken. After investigation, they have been arrested and sent to jail. Now, strict action has been taken against all the accused in the Police SI corruption case. All the examinees and middlemen have been arrested. Action is being taken against the accused involved in this racket.

In the past, corruption was being covered up in the BJD government, but now the BJP government is taking action. So, what is the need for the CBI to arrest the guilty, the NIA will investigate, said State Yuva Morcha President Abhilash Panda at a press conference held at the state office.

Mr. Panda said that corruption had reached its peak in the previous government. In 2023, the Civil JEE question paper was leaked. At that time, the Balasore police had busted a racket. At that time, the BJD was in government. At that time, the police had detained 86 candidates in this case. It was found that the accused concerned had paid money for this job. But no action was taken against them by the BJD. Even an FIR was not filed. Because the leaders of the Biju Janata Dal were directly involved in this.
They had a structured plan to give jobs by taking money from young women. Before this, the Police SI exam was held in 2019. This process was completed in 2023. At that time, the cut-off mark for the general category was kept at 95 percent. In any entrance exam or competitive exam, the highest number of 95 percent is acceptable, but the cut-off mark going up to 95 percent has generally raised questions.
Many candidates were hopeful of getting jobs after giving the exam. But they were disappointed due to the high cut-off mark. Similarly, the cut-off mark for Scheduled Castes was 92 percent at that time. As a result, many were deprived of getting desired jobs. The corruption of giving jobs for money had become a process of BJD. But the BJP government has caught the job selling syndicate running in the old pattern.
Thirteen of the arrested accused named one coaching center. That was Kekaya. While all the good coaching centers in the country were giving good slogans to the children to study, Kekaya’s slogan was that government jobs are available, that is, if you want to get a government job, just enroll in Kekaya. It is clear that the owner of Kekaya Institute and BJD’s senior leader Subrata Chatoi is involved in this scam. This is running on the profits of the BJD government.
Therefore, this institution and its owner kept making promises to the children. Earlier, there were allegations that this institution was also involved in the ASO job sale racket. But the then BJD government kept covering up his party leader. Let alone taking action, no investigation was even conducted.
Now, in the police SI recruitment incident, Councilor No. 4 under Khandpada NAC of Nayagarh district and BJD leader Yatin Kumar Dalai (26) has been arrested. Similarly, Munki Rajpalia of Patrapali under Muribahal police station of Balangir district and her husband Prahallad Nag have also been arrested. Munki is a member of the BJD Samrat Samithi and a female leader of the said party.
Not only these, most of the accused caught are BJD workers. But BJD leaders are now talking like “Chor Machaye Soor”. This is very funny. BJD is now trying to change the reality of the incident, to protect themselves, to prevent the finger being raised against them, to divert the attention of the people and youth of Odisha. But BJD will never succeed in this. Mohan Charan Majhi’s government is committed to giving a corruption-free government to the entire Odisha. While Mr. Majhi had earlier said that no culprit would be spared, strong action is being taken in this regard. Mr. Panda said that the government has already made its stance clear by sending senior officials to jail in the OTET exam corruption case.
