BHUBANESWAR: During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Smt. Bandita Mahapatra, Ex-Planning Member Sambalpur Development Authority, Sambalpur.
1) One triple storeyed building with area approx 5400 Sqft. over Plot No.1559/6001 at Unit-19, Soubhagya Nagar, Bhubaneswar of cost approx. Rs.1.30 Crore.
2) One Flat No. P/6, Netaji Subash Enclave, Gadakana, Bhubaneswar.
3) 4 plots in and around Baripada town. Details as under;
i) A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.082 dec. vide Khata No-205/367 and Plot No-337/1206, Mauza-Unit-12, Baripada town.
ii) A piece of land measuring an area of Ac. 0.082 dec. vide Khata No-255/708 and Plot No-534, 535 & 536/2298, Mauza-Raghunathpur, Baripada.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flat/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
4) Cash Rs.3,77,338/-.
5) Deposits in Mutual Funds over Rs.1.01 Crore. Rest deposits are under verification.
6) 1 four wheeler (Swift DZIRE) and 1 two wheeler.
Earlier on Tuesday, on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Smt. Bandita Mahapatra, Ex-Planning Member and Sri Laxmi Narayan Samal, Junior Clerk (Contractual), both of Sambalpur Development Authority, Sambalpur, simultaneous searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 6 DSPs, 9 Inspectors, 6 ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur at the following places.
Both were arrested earlier in September, 2023 by Sambalpur Police for forgery and issue of fake approval letters of building plans to applicants.

1.Residential Apartment vide Flat No.P/6, Netaji Subash Enclave, Gadakana, Bhubaneswar.
2. Residential triple storeyed building located over Plot No.1559/6001(Sub Plot-98), Unit-19, Soubhagya Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
3. Residential house of Relative at Plot No.LIG/240, Housing Board Colony, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar.
4. Her paternal house at Vill- Khunta Ranibandh, PS- Khunta, Dist- Mayurbhanj.
5. Office chamber at SDA Building, Sambalpur.
6. Residential Govt Qtr of her inlaw at Dist. Hqr Hospital, Angul.
(B)Places of searches of Laxmi Narayan Samal.
1) Qr. No. E-4/7, Old SBI Park Line, Burla, P.S. Burla, Dist. Sambalpur.
2) Newly constructed triple storeyed building at Kantapali Mouza, Burla, Sambalpur.
3) His Office chamber at SDA, Durgapali, Sambalpur.
