BHUBANESWAR:Under the leadership of the country’s renowned Home Minister and the country’s first Cooperative Minister, Shri Amit Shah, a revolutionary change has taken place in the cooperative sector. In the coming days, the agricultural cooperative societies of the Panchayats will be the heart of the regional economy, said State President Shri Manmohan Samal while celebrating the 72nd National Cooperative Week at the State Office.
On the first day of this cooperative week to be celebrated from November 14 to 20, Shri Samal hoisted the cooperative flag and said that 25 items will be traded in the cooperative society. Along with this, the society will be improved. The local people will get the benefit of this. This cooperative society was looted by the then government in the past and became a hotbed of corruption. But after the BJP government came to power, this system has changed.
State Minister for Cooperatives, Handlooms and Textiles Shri Pradeep Balasamat added that the BJP government has taken the initiative to form a multi-purpose agricultural cooperative society in every panchayat of Odisha. The society editors have been demanding for a long time to bring cleanliness in the cooperative societies. They were asking for giving them government status and implementing the “Common Cadre Rule”. The BJP government has already implemented it at the district level. Very soon the employees will get its benefits.
Cooperative Cell Coordinator Shri Sriranjan Mangaraj coordinated the event. Among others, former Cooperative Ministers Dr. Arvind Tachali and Sameer Ranjan Das, Bhubaneswar District President Niranjan Mishra, senior cooperative activist Yejneshwar Babu, Sudarshan Nayak, Dr. Harikrishna Mishra, Akshay Mohanty, Waradeb Meher, Satyavan Jena, Sridhar Behera, Pratap Samal, Prafulla Jena, Sarojkant Sahu, Vandana Kanungo, Premalata Mishra, Biswajit Swain, Satya Raut, Subash Pradhan were prominent participants.
