BHUBANESWAR: Carrying placards and banners with slogans like, “Jallad Gruharashtra Mantri and Jalia Mukhyamantri”, “ Naveen Nka Chhtrachaya Tale Surakhita Hatyakari Gruharashtra Mantri Dibya Shankar” and Dibyshankar Nku Ghanta Na-ghodai Girapa Kara”, Congress MLAs on Tuesday stalled the proceedings of the winter session of Odisha State Assembly.Congress MLAs reiterated their demand and sought immediate arrest of Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra.
Meanwhile, continuing its protest for consecutive days in State Assembly demanding resignation of State Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged role in Mamita Meher murder case, the Opposition BJP , which had been boycotting the winter session of Odisha State Assembly, on Tuesday turned to noble way to wake up Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
BJP MLAs prayed Lord Jagannath seeking good sense prevail for Chief Minister Patnaik , so that he could act against the erring Minister. BJP MLAs carrying placards and banners held agitation in the premises of the State Assembly.
Earlier, in a counter attack to BJP MLAs, those have been stalling the House Proceedings for past 8 days over Mamita Meher murder case, the ruling BJD MLAs on Tuesday took to the agitation mode and hold same high drama while urging the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to wake up from Kumbhakarna slumber.
BJD MLAs carrying placards and shouting slogans, held agitation in the premises of the State Assembly protesting price hike in essential commodities, LPG and rise of unemployment.
The Ruling Party MLAs have alleged that due to PM Modi in deep slumber, common people are suffering and they urged the PM to wake up early as possible.
