Commissionerate Police BBSR UPD busted a fire arms supply syndicate who are involved in supply, selling and possession of illegal fire arms and involved in many sensational crimes, 6 held

BHUBANESWAR:  Commissionerate Police BBSR UPD has busted a fire arms supply syndicate who are involved in supply, selling and possession of illegal fire arms and involved in many sensational crimes of the state.  Especially they use these arms in sand business ( Bali Ghat ), cattle trading, illegal mining activity, show off force, extortion, vandalism, create terror in the surroundings and also use for collection of easy money. Getting reliable information police worked on it and nabbed a gang with seizure of 05 fire arms and live ammunitions.

1. Rasmiranjan Swain , Age- 35, S/O- Mohani swain of  Balisahi,     PS – Marsagahi , Kendrapada

At/P- K 5 Kalinga Vihar , BBSR ( illegal arms  supplier )

2. Utkal Kesari Khuntia @ Lulu , Age-33, S/O- Lt Mangaraj Khuntia   Of Jakia,  PS- Patakura , Kendrapada
3. Akash @ Krushna Chandra Jena (26), S/O- Lt Udayanatha Jena Of     Dighi , PS – Niali , Cuttack

At/P – Laxmivihar , Near Sai Vihar,     Tankapani Road , PS – Badagada

4. Chiku @ Chiranjibi Jena (25),  S/O – Hurdananda Jena Of      Dighi , PS – Niali , Cuttack
5. Hama @ Mohamad Samser (34),  S/O- Mohammed Kabir Of  Benapanjuri , PS – Jatani , Khorda

6 . Aju @ Sk Ajharuddin (21),  S/O – Sk Anshuddin Of  Benapanjuri , PS – Jatani , Khorda

Number of illegal fire arms seized :-

1.Three Numbers of  7.65 mm semi automatic pistol .

2. One six round revolver .
3. One single shot fire arm .
4. Nine ( 9) rounds of live ammunitions .
5. One black colour CBZ extreme motorcycle having regd. No UP 25 AQ 4635
6. A grey colour Suzuki Acsess 125 scooter having Regd No- OD 33 AG 0579 .

The syndicate :-

1. The head of the syndicate is Rashmi Ranjan Swain and his close associate Utkal Keshari Khuntia.
2. He procures fire arms with his another associates from Munger, Bihar and sells it in Odisha.
3. They are active in Cuttack, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada districts.
4. Used to sell the arms @ Rs 45,000 to Rs 60,000 per arms according to its quality and nature.
5. All the accused persons are arrested from Bhubaneswar and Jatani.
6. Other members of the gang have also been identified and to be arrested soon.
