BHUBANESWAR: With outgoing Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal is all set to leave Odisha Raj Bhavan on Friday , Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid a courtesy visit to him and wished him a long and active public life on Thursday . Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, VK Pandian was present during the meeting.
As per sources, the newly appointed Odisha Governor Raghubar Das will arrive in Bhubaneswar on October 29 and is likely to take oath on Oct 31.
The Chief Minister has thanked Prof Ganeshi Lal for his service to the State and also conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing Governor.
“Glad to meet the Governor of Odisha Prof. Ganeshi Lal Ji who is leaving Odisha after serving the state for more than five years. Thank him for his services to the state and convey my good wishes,’ CM Patnaik said in an X post.
Prof Lal is leaving Odisha on Friday after serving as Governor for nearly 5 years and 5 months. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das will replace Prof. Lal as the new Governor of Odisha.
Meanwhile, Raj Bhavan family bid farewell to Prof Lal at Raj Bhavan . ‘Odisha has enriched my knowledge and consciousness in various ways,’ expressed Hon’ble Governor during the farewell meeting,’ Odisha Raj Bhawan said.
