BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed implementation of MGNREGA Employment Scheme and Urban Employment Scheme in all districts of #Odisha. Mentioning about hardship faced by the poor due to economic slowdown, CM directed all collectors to ensure no family suffers due to lack of employment.
Chief Minister Patnaik alerted the district collectors that strict action will be taken if there is a delay in disbursal of wages of the poor who earn a living through MGNREGA and State sponsored schemes. Aim is to create 20 crore man days by end of the current financial year
Emphasising that beneficiaries should get their wages on time, Patnaik advised collectors to monitor wage issue by regularly calling the beneficiaries through #MoSarkar platform. CM expressed satisfaction that beneficiaries in some districts were getting paid on time.#OdishaCares.
Patnaik also directed completion of construction of 1,000 Mission Shakti homes by the end of next March and ‘Parichay’ homes by the end of January. CM advised district collectors to fully spend the funds provided under the scheme by end of the financial year. #OdishaCares.
