BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has reviewed credit linkages to farmers, Mission Shakti Odisha SHGs and MSMEs. Reviewing credit linkages to farmers, Mission Shakti Odisha SHGs & MSMEs, Chief Minister Patnaik expressed satisfaction over the progress in credit disbursement to priority sectors in the last two months & appreciated the efforts of banks & districts administrations in this direction.
SHGs under #MissionShakti have received credit worth ₹ 3,745 crores this year which is ₹ 500 crores more than the target. Terming credit support to SHGs as one of the top priorities of the #Odisha Government, CM stressed upon increasing the average size of loans for the SHGs.
Chief Minister Patnaik said that farmers are the backbone of the state while MSME are the backbone of our economy. He expressed happiness over the credit flow to farmers in most of the districts and credit flow to the MSMEs which will touch ₹20,457 Cr by March.
Encouraging all districts & banks to achieve annual credit targets, Chief Minister Patnaik reiterated that the @FinMinIndia will be apprised about the good performance of banks and Odisha Govt will award the well performing banks at the end of this fiscal, for credit flow to famers and MSMEs.
