BANAPUR/BHUBANESWAR: With the aim of bringing about a revolutionary change in the primary education system of Odisha, the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday  has launched the ‘Godabarish Mishra Adarsh ​​Pratama Vidyalaya Yojana’ in Banapur and laid the foundation stone of 118 schools across the state.

In the first phase, an allocation of Rs 12,000 crore has been made for the development of 2,200 primary schools, which will provide quality education to the children in a healthy environment.

The main objective of this scheme is to increase basic literacy and numeracy of students through the successful implementation of the National Education Policy-2020 and the “Nipun Odisha” campaign. This step will provide world-class education to the next generation and will form a major pillar towards building a prosperous and developed Odisha by 2036.

CM Majhi said ” Our main goal is to strengthen the infrastructure of primary education. Through the successful implementation of “Nipun Odisha” and National Education Policy-2020, we are committed to making every student proficient in knowledge and skills. Along with modernizing schools, we are also emphasizing on the recruitment of teachers and their skill development. I believe that these model schools will form the main pillar in building a ‘Prosperous Odisha’ by 2036. Our bright students will study, grow and become the rightful eyes of a developed Odisha,” .
