NABARANGPUR/BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday launched ‘Shri Jagannath Darshan Yojana’ in Nabarangpur and laid the foundation stone for a new government medical college and hospital. On this occasion, Chief Minister also launched various people-oriented projects for the development of the district.
For the overall upliftment and development of Nabarangpur district, the state government is taking committed steps towards making the district a leader in the fields of education, health, agriculture, transportation, women empowerment and self-reliance. Even though Nabarangpur is far away from the state capital, development will never be far from the district”, said Chief Minister Majhi.
Lord Jagannath is the Lord of the universe, so there should be no obstacles to his darshan. Keeping this in mind, our government has launched the ‘Shri Jagannath Darshan’ scheme so that every Odia person can have darshan of Lord Jagannath with respect at least once in their life, the Hon’ble Chief Minister said on this occasion.
The scheme was launched from Nabarangpur, Bhadrak, Baripada, Sambalpur and Berhampur. Senior citizens between the age group of 60 to 75 years from economically weaker sections and all widowed mothers above the age of 75 years will be benefited.
