BHUBANESWAR:Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has increased the monthly allowance of the Gram Rakshis working in the rural areas of the state. Now, the Gram Rakshis will get a monthly allowance of Rs. 2,500 instead of Rs. 1,800.
In addition, arrangements have been made for them to visit the police station under which they work once a week and report to the police. Gram Rakshis play a crucial role in maintaining peace and order in rural areas and in the process of identifying criminals.
