CM Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurates Parab-2024, enjoy taste of Koraput Coffee

KORAPUT:   The grand event of Parab-2024, a cultural extravaganza featuring over 100s of artists from across India, innagurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The Five Day long valedictory celebration of Parab Koraput 2024 inaugurated in presence of all the MLAs of Koraput district and MP of Nabarangpur.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi tasted Koraput Coffee , gave autograph to children , inaugurated different development stalls , media exhibition , Coffee Book and released the Souvenir of partab-2024. Majhi highlighted the Tourism Potential of Koraput along with its Paddy , Millets , Coffee and Pottato.

Majhi announced financial packages for development of different tourism places in the district and also announced that Funds would not be a blocking stone for the development of Jagannath Sagar , Deomali and raniduduma in Jeypore . Majhi also enjoyed the chilling wind that was blowing all along till midnight.

Started its set to take place from Dec 14 to 18 at kumbha ground the permanent place of Parab at Koraput will be know as Parab Ground.

Collector (Koraput) Keerthi Vasan V announced that this year’s theme revolves around tribal culture and Koraput Coffee, with the event’s stage and venue designed to reflect these themes. “We anticipate a surge in tourist arrivals during the mega celebrations,” he added.

The festival promises a wide array of attractions. Highlights include an exhibition of agricultural equipment and the five-day Pallishree Mela, which will showcase handicrafts and provide a platform for women self-help groups to sell their products.

Parab-2024 began on Oct 27 at Dudhari and has already been celebrated across panchayat, block, and district levels, culminating in this grand finale

The rhythmic beats of tribal drums and the kaleidoscope of vibrant costumes have once again brought life to the serene hills of kumbha as ‘Parab,’ South Odisha’s premier tribal festival, unfolds in its full glory. This much-anticipated annual of Koraput district, enchanted thousands of visitors with its seamless blend of tradition, art, and community spirit.

This year, the festival scaled new heights with performance from throught the country with singers from bollywood and ollywood singers. With sprawling venues and thoughtfully designed spaces near the , ‘Parab’ now stands as a testament.

The pulsating performances by local artists reflect the rich tapestry of tribal heritage, captivating both domestic and international tourists who flock to witness the spectacle.
