BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday  launched Multi-Protocol Label Switching Virtual Private Networking System (RD-MPLS VPN) for Rural Development Odisha under #5T charter to provide internal connectivity to Dept offices at local level, where internet connectivity is inadequate.

Rural Development Odisha, which has a mandate for rural infra development, is connecting its 247 offices through its own networking system RD MPLS Network. Through this, all offices starting from Lok Seva Bhawan to Sub-Divisions will be under one network with uninterrupted internet connection.

This network will facilitate use of online web-based apps to be used at field levels & further #5T initiative of the Dept in bringing transparency, effective monitoring & grievance redressal. Chief Minister Patnaik lauded Departmentt’s endeavour for making end-to-end automation in whole tendering process.

He advised the Dept to follow #5T principle, giving priority to “Time” adding that all projects should be completed within timelines with a sense of urgency. CM expressed confidence that with rolling out of these technologies, the Dept can closely monitor progress of the projects.
