BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday expressed his happiness after Odia students stranded at war ravaged Ukraine back to India safely.
Chief Minister Patnaik had earlier announced to bear all expenses for their safe return to home land. Sources said , several Odia students have already arrived in New Delhi and returning to their native homes.
The Chief Minister has directed to open a help desk at the Mumbai airport for the convenience of students returning from Ukraine.The Chief Minister also directed the officials concerned to drop the students at their homes by OTDC buses after they arrive in Bhubaneswar.Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra and Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena were present during the meeting. Secretary to Odisha Chief Minister & 5T Mr. V.K. Pandian coordinated the online interaction.
“Hearty welcome to the Odia students who are back to India. I am so relieved that you have returned safely from the war-torn #Ukraine. We are working on the safe return of other students and workers from #Odisha, stranded in Ukraine,” CM Patnaik said in a tweet.
