BHUBANE SWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday dedicated 8 Extra High Voltage Transmission Projects worth Rs 650 Crore constructed by OPTCL to the people of Odisha through virtual mode.
The newly-inaugurated Extra High Voltage Grid Substations are situated in Meramundali in Angul, Kantabada in Khordha, Boriguma in Koraput, Lakhanpur in Jharsuguda, Kumarmunda in Sundargarh, Bamra in Sambalpur, Bhatli in Bargarh and Bhadrak.
State Energy, Industry and MSME Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Additional CS , Energy , Nikunja Dhal and senior officials of Energy Department and OPTCL were among those present.
On this occasion, Odisha Power Generation Corporation and OPTCL have given Rs 103.37 crore and Rs 42 crore respectably as an interim profit of the State Government in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Besides, OPGC has contributed Rs 2 crore and OPTCL Rs 3 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.The programme was coordinated by Secretary to Chief Minister (5T) V.K. Pandian.
