BHUBANESWAR: Attending the SAFE Convention organised by SIAM India, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said road safety is a high priority area for Odisha Government. Chief Minister Patnaik added that a four-fold strategy has been added to make roads safer by enforcement, education, improvement in road engineering, emergency care.
Highlighting Odisha Government’s reward scheme for the people who help road accident victims, he expressed happiness that more and more people are coming forward to help the road accident victims. CM Patnaik thanked SIAM for organising this event in collaboration with State Transport Authority, STA, Odisha.
CM appreciated SIAM for extending responsibility beyond vehicular engineering and expressed hope that the automobile manufacturers would continue to partner in Odisha Government’s initiatives to make our roads safer and better.
