BHUBANESWAR:   Ending all speculations, the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led BJP Government on Friday appointed 1990-batch IPS Officer YB Khurania as the next Police DGP replacing incumbent Odia IPS Officer Arun Sarangi.

After the UPSC recommended names of three IPS officers for the post of DGP, Odisha Government today appointed 1990-batch IPS YB Khurania as DGP and Head of Police Force.

Sources said, Khurania , who hails from Haryana State, stated to be close to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and after he shifted from BSF as Special DG West , he was front runner for Odisha DGP and finally he took the baton of State Police Headquarters’
