LUCKNOW/BHUBANESWAR: NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow, is observing Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 from May 16 to 31 under the theme “Swachhta is Everyone’s Business,” as part of the Government of India’s initiative to promote cleanliness and hygiene.
A series of activities aimed at fostering cleanliness and environmental awareness are being conducted during the fortnight. On May 26, 2025, a mass cleanliness drive was organized under the leadership of Shri N.S. Rao, Regional Executive Director (North), in the esteemed presence of Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, Regional Head of HR, along with HODs, senior officials, and employees.
During the event, senior officials actively participated by using broomsticks and dustbins to clean the office campus and collect dry waste, demonstrating their commitment to the Swachhta mission.
Earlier in the fortnight, Painting Competition for employees’ children, an Essay Competition for housewives, and Quiz on the Swachhta Abhiyan for employees were held, all witnessing enthusiastic participation.The celebrations will continue with more activities, including cleanliness drives, distribution of dustbins in schools, awareness sessions on proper waste disposal, street plays (nukkad nataks) to spread the message of cleanliness, and a plantation drive.
