In consonance with zero tolerance policy of the State Government towards corruption, DGP SK Bansal has dismissed arrested SushantaKumar Satpathy, former IIC Baipariguda, from the service under Article311(2)(b) of Indian Constitution following his arrest in a corruption case

BHUBANESWAR:   In consonance with zero tolerance policy of the State Government towards corruption, DGP SK Bansal has dismissed arrested SushantaKumar Satpathy,  IIC Baipariguda PS, from the service under Article311(2)(b) of Indian Constitution following his arrest in a corruption case.

 Satpathy, was arrested and sent to jail. Total cash seized by Odisha Vigilance is Rs 37,27,000  including Rs 2.7 lakh from possession, Rs 4.8 lakh from his Office and residence at Baipariguda & Rs 29,77,000 from his quarter at Cuttack.Quarters is in Police Line, near Mahila PS, Buxi Bazaar, Cuttack.

Cash bundles of Rs 500 and other denominations were recovered in the morning during searches at govt quarter of Sri Susanta Satpathy,  Baipariguda IIC, at Cuttack. Approx amount over  Rs 25 lakhs. Counting on. Further report follows.

Based on reliable inputs about movement of  Susanta Satpathy,  from Boipariguda to Cuttack side in a Bus along with suspected illgotten cash, he was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance near Jeypore and approx Rs 2,70,000/- cash was recovered, the possession of which he could not explain satisfactorily.

Further, Rs 1,80,000/- recovered from his office chamber at Boipariguda Police Station and Rs 3 lakh from his govt quarter at Boipariguda during search. Total cash Rs 7.5 lakhs had been seized.
