BHUBANESWAR: On Wednesday a short while ago, Sri Choudhury Papun Kumar Dash, Junior Revenue Assistant(JRA) , Collectorate, Boudh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance *while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) from a Proprietor (Complainant) dealing with aquarium products to process file for clearing his pending bill towards setting up an Aquarium Project in Boudh District Museum in the year 2021-22 by him.
The entire bribe money of Rs.25,000/- has been recovered from exclusive possession of accused Sri Dash, JRA and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Dash from DA angle.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. case No. 13 dt. 20.08.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Dash, JRA. Detailed report follows.
