BHUBANESWAR: Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg reviewed the status of rural drinking water projects being implemented and under construction in the state.
Under the Single Village Piped Water Supply Project system, 18,233 projects have been implemented while 872 are under implementation. Under the Solar Project, 6435 projects have been completed while 2189 projects are under implementation. Out of the total 207 mega projects approved under Jal Jeevan Mission, Vasudha, Rural Infrastructure Development Fund, Ombadsi, DMF, SFC in the state, 26 projects have been completed and 181 are under construction.
The meeting reviewed the status of 134 projects that have been completed more than 50 percent. The status of 15 mega projects in Rayagada district, 11 in Mayurbhanj district, and 10 in Sundargarh district, which are in the highest implementation stage, was reviewed.
Similarly, the status of mega pipe water supply projects under construction in all other districts has been monitored and necessary instructions and suggestions have been given to complete the projects. It has been advised to complete various projects as per the set target.
