PURI:Shrimandi Chief Administrator Dr. Arbinda Padhee today reviewed the progress of various development projects related to Shri Jagannath Temple and Rath Yatra. These projects are being implemented by OBCC.
The review meeting focused on the ongoing works at Srigundicha Temple, including the construction of the Ballav Ghar, Tuniya Mahal and the annexe to the kitchen. It was decided to complete all these works before the next Ghosha Yatra. It was mentioned that all new constructions should be done in accordance with the traditional Kalinga style of architecture.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of pending works of Jagannath Ballav Pilgrim Centre (JBPC) and Baseli Sahi Dharamshala. The OBCC has assured that these works will be completed soon. It has also been decided to erect boundary fences at the proposed project sites for Jagannath Ballav Pramod Yadvan and Adarsh Gurukula at Matitota.
The Chief Administrator said that the temple administration will provide full cooperation and necessary facilities for the timely completion of these projects. Next week, the Gajapati Maharaj and other technical committee members will review the progress of these works.
The meeting was attended by OBCC Managing Director Anupam Shah, Puri District Collector and other senior officials of the administration.
