KASHI: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday offered prayers to the Sun God on the occasion of Chhath Parv in Kashi, the city of Baba Biswanath, and extended his greetings to the countrymen on the occasion.
Shri Pradhan mentioned in the X that Chhath is the great festival of sun worship. Greetings to all the people of Bihar and the country on this day. This festival is not only a confluence of our faith and devotion but also of nature, knowledge and science. It is a matter of great pride for me to witness such a great and unique tradition of ours in Kashi and to be a part of the Chhath Mahaparva. He prayed to Lord Surya and Chhathi Mata for everyone’s happiness, prosperity and auspicious life.
On this auspicious day, Shri Pradhan Vihar also visited the ancient Mahavira Temple located at Patna Junction.
