Chariots started Rolling on Saradhabali, on way to Grand Road, Holy City of Puri Wore Festive Look

Amid heat and humidity backed by rains, tens of thousands of devotees are pulling 3 magnificent and gigantic Chariots from Shree Gundicha Temple Naka Chana Swar on Saradhabali to Grand Road in Puri ferrying Shree Lord Jagannatha and his siblings on occasion of Bahuda Yatra.

PURI/BHUBANESWAR:   Amid heat and humidity backed by rains, tens of thousands of devotees are pulling 3 magnificent and gigantic Chariots from Shree Gundicha Temple Naka Chana Swar on Saradhabali to Grand Road in Puri ferrying Shree Lord Jagannatha and his siblings on occasion of Bahuda Yatra.

Chera Pahara rituals by (sweeping ceremony) Puri King Gajapati Maharaj performed on 3 Chariots from 11.40 am to 12.40 pm.

Pulling of Taladhwaja Chariot of Shree Lord Balabhadra stated at around 12.50 pm followed Darpadalan Chariot of Shree Devi Subhadra at around 1.30 pm and Shree Lord Jagannatha’s Nandighose Chaiot started rolling at around 1.45 pm.

Earlier , the Bahuda Pahandi rituals of deities which were stated at around 7.55 am , amid religious enthusiasm and devotional atmosphere, completed at around 11.05 am.

Shree Lord Jagannatha and his Siblings were escorted to their respective chariots from Gundicha Temple in a ceremonial Dhadi Pahandi ahead of their return journey to Srimandir on Bahuda Yatra to day on Wednesday.

The Dhadi Pahandi ritual began with escorting of Lord Sudarsan to Debadalana, the chariot of Devi Subhadra by the servitors.

Later, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannath were taken to their respective chariots in ceremonial processions amid beating of gongs, blowing of conches and chants of Jay Jagannath.

Earlier, Magal arti was performed at 4.50 am followed by Mailama at around 4.55 am, Tadapalagi at 5 am, Abakash Puja at 5.15 am and Mangalarpan at 7.40 am,
