BHUBANESWAR:Today, at the merger ceremony held at the state office, the Chairman of Sunabedha Municipality under Koraput constituency, Dr. Rajendra Kumar Patra, has officially joined the BJP, leaving the BJD. On this occasion, among others, Sunabedha Municipality Councilors Surendra Sethi, Gajendra Majhi, Swarup Patnaik have left the BJD party and Mamata Kumari Khora and Alka Lenka have left the main Congress party and joined the BJP. Similarly, senior BJD leaders of Sunabedha Manoj Nathi, Indramani Nayak, Godabarish Behera, Satyabrata Pradhan, Santosh Kumar Parida, K. Santosh Kumar, Anuj Samal, Jitu Kumar Sio, Dwitikrishna Sahu, S.L.N. Patra, Shankar Patra, Shankar Sahu, Manoj Patra, Sarat Kumar Sahu, Gupteshwar Raut, B. Hundreds of leaders and workers have left the BJD and joined the BJP, including prominent figures like Ashok Patra, Tirupati Patra, Ganeshwar Panigrahi, Sunil Sahabi, Mamata Sahu, Purnath Chandra Das, Bidhan Bor, Sunil Naidu, Trinath Swain, Shishir Kumar Rana and Mukesh Kumar Patra.
Similarly, former Sarpanch of Piplapod Gram Panchayat of Laxmipur constituency Namo Mandinga, former Naib Sarpanch Raut Miniaka, Ward Member Gopi Mandinga, Nari Kulsika, Chachir Kulsika, Matiya Mandinga, Arya Mandinga, Archita Mandinga, Vinod Miniaka along with Laxmipur Panchayat BJD President Patra Pilanthi, Editor Hemalaya Halwa, Kutinga Panchayat President Sameer Vidika have left the Biju Janata Dal and joined the BJP. Nandu Kulsika, Niranjan Mandinga, Goda Mandinga, Bisma Khora, Kabir Danagiri along with prominent BJD workers, Congress workers Jumbra Kulsika, Diu Mandinga have left their respective parties and joined the BJP.
State President Shri Manmohan Samal welcomed all the new members by giving them a uttari and donning the party cap. MP Shri Bibhuprasad Tarai, MLA Shri Raghuram Machh, State Secretary Shri Saroj Kar, Koraput District President Shri Shiv Muduli, senior leaders Shri Sumant Kumar Pradhan, Shri Kailash Chandra Kuleshika were prominently present on the occasion.
BJP is the largest political party in the world. There are BJP and NDA governments in 21 states of the country. From MPs, MLAs to local representatives, BJP has been respected as a single party in the year of India. BJP has been fulfilling all the promises made in the resolution. This time both the central and state budgets have been very popular. Adequate provisions have been made in this budget to build a developed India and a prosperous Odisha. The budget has been made for the development of infrastructure starting from agriculture, health, education and transportation.
The people of all districts and constituencies of the state will benefit from this budget. As the faith and trust of the people of the state is increasing day by day on such people-oriented work under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the participation in BJP is increasing. This is reflected in today’s Mirshana Parva. Inspired by the ideology of BJP and expressing faith in the public welfare, poor welfare, people welfare, all-round, all-encompassing development work of the double-engine government in the state, hundreds of BJD and Congress workers from Sunabedha Municipality and Laxmipur constituency of Koraput district have joined BJP today. Today, with this merger, the party organization in Koraput district has been further strengthened. We will resolve to solve the basic problems of the people together and move towards the development of the state and the country, said State President Shri Manmohan Samal on the occasion of the merger festival held at the state office today.
