BHUBANSWAR/CUTTACK:The Central Range Police, under the ongoing statewide special drive “Cyber Kavach”, has intensified action against mule bank accounts and cyber-enabled financial fraud across districts of Central Range, Odisha.
As part of sustained verification, legal action, and preventive enforcement, the following cumulative progress has been achieved up to 22.02.2026:
District-wise Performance – Central Range
•Cuttack Rural:
50 bank accounts verified; 12 new cases registered; 38 notices served.
•Jagatsinghpur:
92 bank accounts verified; 6 new cases registered; 9 notices served.
•Jajpur:
499 bank accounts verified; 9 new cases registered; 108 notices served.
•Kendrapara:
325 bank accounts verified; 23 new cases registered; 182 notices served.
•Khurda:
212 bank accounts verified; 13 new cases registered; 39 notices served.
•Nayagarh:
58 bank accounts verified; 2 new cases registered; 2 old FIRs linked; 58 notices served.
•Puri:
154 bank accounts verified; 32 new cases registered; 1 old FIR linked; 10 accused arrested; 2 notices served.
Overall Impact in Central Range

•Total New Cases Registered: 97

The drive has focused on identifying and disrupting mule bank account networks used in cyber frauds. Legal proceedings have been initiated promptly, and preventive notices have been served to deter further misuse of financial instruments.
Odisha Police reiterates its commitment to safeguarding citizens from cybercrime and urges the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious financial activities immediately.
The operation will continue with intensified scrutiny, inter-district coordination, and strict legal action against offenders.
