BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: Odisha Government has reportedly given 2 years extension to State cadre IAS officer, Usha Padhee, who is now serving her Central deputation terms with Union Civil Aviation Ministry in New Delhi, sources said on Monday.
The 1996 batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre is presently serving as Joint Secretary, with Union Civil Aviation Ministry in New Delhi headed by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Usha Padhee’s husband, Dr Arbinda K Padhee too, an Odisha cadre IAS officer and now also on deputation with Union Agriculture Ministry.
The women IAS officer was recently in news for making facemask at her New Delhi residence using Sambalpuri and other handloom materials of Odisha.
The IAS officer had also encouraged denizens to take part in the Mask India movement by preparing masks for themselves at home and sparing the surgical and N-95 masks for the healthcare workers.
