BHUBANESWAR:Swami Vivekananda once said that India would become a world-class university. In fact, the foundation of this was laid by the former Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna Shraddha Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has vowed to make this a reality. Through continuous efforts, we can make this dream a reality, said the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi while celebrating the 101st birth anniversary and birth centenary of the late Vajpayee at the state BJP office premises.
At the “10th Atal Samman-2025” program organized on this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Majhi said that Atal ji displayed extraordinary personality in adverse circumstances. He was a man of the era who united India on the road by spreading the desire for development. The promoter of good governance in independent India, a Saraswat Sadhak, a Member of Parliament for the fifth decade, a world-beater, a great human being, a Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Shri Atal ji will always be a role model and a source of inspiration for all Indians.
Atalji, who never compromised with morality and ideals to stay in power, understood the pain of the farmers very well. He started Kisan Credit Card and Fasal Bima Yojana for the farmers. He never came under pressure from anyone. From nuclear testing to the Kargil War, he succeeded in everything. The dream of the late Atalji has become a reality today. That is why every year December 25th is celebrated as Good Governance Day. The efforts made by Atalji to build a developed India are being fulfilled by the successful Prime Minister Shri Modiji.
Based on national ideas, ideals and thoughts, after taking charge as the founding national president in 1980 after the Jana Sangh, the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of late Atal Ji has not looked back. After facing many setbacks and setbacks, the Bharatiya Janata Party, along with other like-minded political parties, is in power in 21 states of the country today. For the first time, a single government has been formed in Odisha. Chief Minister Shri Majhi said that our goal is to build Odisha as the best and most prosperous state of India by following the inspiration of Atal Ji and under the guidance of the successful Prime Minister Modi Ji.
State President Shri Manmohan Samal said that former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a visionary, statesman, statesman, poet, philosopher, social worker and patriot. By dedicating his life and youth to nationalism, he has become the center of inspiration for all of us. Atalji had mapped out the development of the country for the next 100 years. His role in the formation of the New India Year was unique. It would not be an exaggeration to call him the creator of the New India Year. In this regard, his birthday is celebrated as Good Governance Day all over India. When he came to power, India was drowning in a debt of 14 lakh crore rupees. Due to this, he was able to take the country’s economy from 19th to 11th place by implementing many welfare schemes for the year. Despite adverse circumstances, he included India in the world conquest campaign by conducting nuclear tests. His contribution to Odisha can never be forgotten. He had a dream to open an AIIMS hospital in Delhi, Odisha. Due to his vision, many poor people can get quality healthcare at AIIMS Medical College in Bhubaneswar today. His dream of building an oil refinery at a cost of Rs 33,000 crore has been fulfilled today. After the 1999 cyclone, there was no shortage of funds for the reconstruction of Odisha. He was associated with the livelihood of Odisha. Today, under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world. Atalji laid the foundation for this. Following his footsteps, we all have to make continuous efforts to make Odisha the number 1 state of the country.
The efforts made by Atalji to build a developed India are being fulfilled by the successful Prime Minister Shri Modiji. We all need to move forward in the path of late Vajpayee, said State In-charge Shri Vijaypal Singh Tomar.
Late Vajpayee loved the people of Odisha with all his heart. He deeply studied the art and culture of Odisha. His contribution to Odisha should never be forgotten. If you follow the path shown by Late Vajpayee, you will surely achieve success in life, said former state president Shri Sameer Mohanty.
On this occasion, Shri Kunjabihari Panigrahi was honored with the Atal Samman 2025. Similarly, Dr. Bhagyalipi Malla was honored with the Atal Culture Samman, Shri Prasanna Kumar Swain with the Atal Poetry Samman, Sambalpur’s established social institution was honored with the Atal Seva Samman, and senior journalist Shriram Das was honored with the Atal Journalist Samman.
The Honorable Chief Minister, State President, State In-charge, and former State President were present and honored them by presenting them with mementos, certificates, plaques, and bouquets. On this occasion, renowned musician and former State Coordinator of the Cultural Cell, Shri Panchanan Nayak introduced the honored guests. Actor Harihar Mohapatra recited poetry and young artist Sumir Behera captivated everyone by making Atalji’s photo. State Editor and Director of the Cultural Cell, Smt. Pinki, conducted the main program.
During the program, an exhibition based on the life of Atalji and a sand sculpture of Atalji were inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, State President Shri Manmohan Samal, State In-charge Shri Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, and former State President Shri Sameer Mohanty.
On this occasion, a memorial service was held in memory of Atalji and a poem written by him was read. In the afternoon, a memorial meeting was organized in memory of late Atalji. On this occasion, a poem written by him was read in memory of Atalji.
