MALKANGIRI/BHUBANESWAR: Director Intelligence Sanjib Panda, IGP (Operations) Amithabh Thakur and DIG , South-Western , Rajesh Pandit were on Thursday delighted after three Maoists including one woman surrendered on the auspicious occasion of 74th Republic Day in Odisha’s Malkangiri district. All were carrying cash reward of Rs 1 lakh each, announced by the state government.
The were Mati Madhi alias Manoj, Pandu Kabasi, Aite Karttami and from Daldali village under Mathili police limits in Malkangiri district and were the active members of Mahupadar LOS Kangerghati AC under Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) CPI Maoist Party.
Mati Madhi of Daldali village under Mathili PS was carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh. He had joined the banned CPI Maoist party in the year 2017. Currently, he was working as the party member of Mahupadar LOS Kangerghati AC under DKSZC.
Similarly, Pandu Kabasi from the same Daldali village had joined the Maoist organisation in 2017. Prior to his joining in the Maoist group, he was working as militia commander.
The 21-year-old woman Maoist Aite Karttami was in the Maoist organisation since 2022. She was working as the militia before joining the red rebel group.
