BHUBANESWAR: Capital PS case No. 690, dt.24.11.2023, U/S- 379 IPC turned to U/S-379/ 413/34 IPC.

Gist:The instant case was registered on the written report of complaint Pushpaturaka (23), D/o- Mohan Rao of Kolluru, Kanchili Srikakulam Andhra Pradesh At/pre- 627 near Narayani Variety Store Sikharchandi Vihar, UPD Bhubaneswar and as per direction of my IIC, I conducted investigation of this case.
Investigation disclosed that the complaint Pushpaturaka (23) and her friend had been to Biju Pattnaik Park and had parked their Yamaha FZ bike having red no OD 07 V 1453 near gate no. 2 of Biju Pattanaik Park, after getting back from the park they found their bike stolen.
On 30.11.2023 at about 03.00 PM got reliable information that one person is sitting on a FZ bike having registration number OD07V1453. Our team apprehends Prasanta Lenka along with the bike.
On interrogation he disclosed that he used to commit theft of motor cycles from Forest Park, Madhusudan Park, IG park area in Bhubaneswar and other districts of Odisha also and hide those bikes at different parking places and another Indrajeet Singh used to receive the stolen bikes from him, hide those bikes in Master Canteen Parking and sell those as per his convenience.
Apprehended Inderjeet Singh and during investigation seized total 14 nos of M/Cs from their possession from different parking places. Further investigation is going on and many more M/Cs are to be recovered with arrest of other accd persons. These culprits used to sell the motor cycles in remote areas particularly to the innocent people.
As the prima-facie evidence U/s. 379/413/34 IPC is well established against them they were arrested and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of law on 01.12.23.
