CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate police transferred the IIC of Cantonment Police Station, Dinakrushna Mishra to the DCP office and assured of an impartial probe into the incident by a senior officer. BJP leaders met the DGP and demanded exemplary action against the IIC and SI.
Soureces said , IIC Mishra and SI Motilal Marandi were allegedly involved in extortion during the recent Balijatra festival in Cuttack.
The BJP has released a purported video of the IIC Mishra and SI Marandi, trying to extort money from a trader at Bali Yatra.
The video purportedly showed IIC Dinakrushna Mishra and SI Motilal Marandi of Cantonment Police Station in Cuttack demanding Rs 50,000 from a bike stand lessee. The trader was seen requesting the cops to reduce some amount as he suffered Rs 2 lakh loss. In reply, the IIC is seen scolding the trader with unparliamentarily languages.
