BHUBANESWAR: Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera on Wednesday on said with further relaxations expected after expiry of the partial lockdown on July 16, bus services would resume across the State.
Currently, the bus services have already resumed in most of the Category A districts of the State. However, the Transport Department is considering resuming the bus services in the rest of the districts post the expected easing in Covid restrictions after July 16, Behera said.
Reports said buses would also operate at inter-State and district levels. Besides, the State Government is planning to waive tax for private bus owners. Along with waiver of taxes, other facilities are going to be extended to transporters as incentive, said Minister.He also said Government is considering tax relief for bus owners due to their losses suffered during lockdown.
