BSF team Recovers Maoists Dump in Odisha’s Malkangiri

On the basis of specific information, on 13th March-2023, an operation was launched by the BSF troops of 177 Bn BSF and recovered a Maoist dump near a nallah in general area of village Arlingpada, GP Jantri, under PS limits of Jodambo of Malkangiri in Odisha.

MALKANGIRI/BHUBANESWAR:   On the basis of specific information, on 13th March-2023, an operation was launched by the BSF troops of 177 Bn BSF and recovered a  Maoist dump near a nallah in general area of village Arlingpada, GP Jantri, under PS limits of Jodambo of Malkangiri in Odisha.

BSF is actively operating in Malkangiri district to dominate the area. Recovery of IED making materials during ongoing TCOC, being  observed by Maoists, would certainly have a demoralizing affect on Maoist cadres and their sympathizers. Such recoveries would certainly provide safety and security to the Security Forces operating on ground as well as local populace in the region. Demining exercise in Swabhiman Anchal has been going on since BSF had moved in the region which used to be a stroghold of Maoists.

Details of the recovered items are as under :-

-Gelatin sticks:07 Nos, -Detonators:14 Nos, -Cordex:4 bundles (total length 20 Mtrs), -Battery A size:06 Nos, Flexible electric wire :25 Mtrs, Small bundles of broken glass pieces wrapped in umbrella cloth:03 Bdls, Empty tiffin box with lid:01 No and other associated items.
