BHUBANESWAR: On Thursday, from 0630 hrs onwards, Frontier HQ (Spl Ops) Border Security Force, Bhubaneswar (Odisha) conducted a ‘SWACHHATA ABHIYAN’ under ‘SWACHHATA PAKHWADA’ at New Government Colony, Gajapati Nagar, Bhubaneswar which is being observed from 1st Dec to 15th Dec 2022. During the campaign, Shri Dhaneswar Kumar Sharma, IG BSF along with all available officers and troops participated in the drive and cleaned the areas adjoining Frontier HQr BSF. IG BSF highlighted the importance of cleanliness & sanitation. He also emphasized that contribution needs to be made by every citizen to make our country clean.
‘SWACHHA BHARAT ABHIYAN’, the National level campaign aims to accomplish the vision of ‘Clean India’ to accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put the focus on clean India mission. The campaign was initiated by Govt of India in 2014 and result of mission clearly visible throughout the country.
The campaign is India’s biggest ever cleanliness drive. To eliminate open defecation, improve solid and liquid waste management. The mission is aimed at changing people’s attitude and mindset to keep area clean. The contribution needs to be made by every citizen and healthy sanitation practices to be made part of our lives to make country clean.
